Hostel and Campsite with its own Pub

Low House Haven Hostel

The hostel, which is family-owned and affiliated to the Youth Hostel Association, comprises 6 rooms which can accommodate up to 31 guests. This includes a male dormitory, a female dormitory and four family rooms. Whether you just need a single bed for the night or want a charming location for large family or group event, we have got you covered.

The Campsite

The campsite is situated behind Low House Haven with views across a beautiful picturesque valley. The site is open for campers, mobile homes and touring caravans. At present there are 7 electric hook ups (with more to come) and loads of pitches for those of you not requiring electricity.

The Baa

"The Baa" was opened at one end of Low House in 2016. It is a small, unique and quirky little pub with a cobblestone floor and an ever increasing amount of sheep related decoration. It serves high quality local ales, its own range of sheep themed cocktails as well as the usual range of drinks.

The Kitchen

The Kitchen provides freshly cooked food for Hostel and Baa customers. We serve pizzas, homemade and freshly cooked to order, which are available from opening hours to 8pm every day. On Friday evenings we offer a free serving of hot homemade food on a first come first served basis. It might be a curry, an interesting pie or a complete surprise.

Please note

For hostel stays all bed linen, duvets and pillows are provided, but please bring your own towels and toiletries.

This is a self-catering establishment with a shared kitchen (with ovens and hobs, fridge, freezer, washing up area, pans, equipment, cutlery and crockery.)

We also have a large drying room, free parking, and a disabled access toilet, shower and room. We are dog and child friendly and also offer conference facilities for corporate events. Wi-Fi is available for free.

For more information, or to book your stay with us, don't hesitate to contact us. We welcome schools, universities, businesses, cycle groups and locals.

what our previous guests said:

If only all YHA's were as good as this -

"Wonderful welcome, this was just what we were looking for. We use YHA every couple of months for family weekends and this is a break away from the normal corporate hostel being a privately owned affiliate. We arrived on the Saturday before Halloween and walked straight into a bar full of locals in fancy dress complete with friendly welcome and wood burning stove. The bar is a real focal point for the village. The rooms were warm, the kitchen was great for self catering. We would certainly book again. If only all YHAs were as good as this."

- Paul G.

Lovely scenery -

"Ancient cobbled floor in cosy stone walled bar and brilliantly garden. Perfectly kept cask ale. Lovely scenery."

- A. Scantlebury
